The Great Fall

Jeremiah 13:20-27 GW Version

This scripture is a prophetic word for the citizens of America. Modern day Babylon.

Consider this to be Thus saith The Lord

This passage speaks of hypocrisy that is rooted in pride. And pride comes before a fall. Hence why the title is The Great Fall.

It is a great fall for America for 2 reasons. Because it had not been seen on the land in almost 100 years, while other humbling experiences have never been seen before in the country.

Citizens as a whole always want to feed their ego to feel better about themselves, but at the expense of someone else. This is what God calls wrong doing. The way that people treat each other is despicable in the eyes of God.

And the core of who they citizens are as a whole will never change.

"Can a leopard change his spots?"

No.

Citizens will not change, they cannot. Hence why they find different ways to do the same exact thing. It's purpose is to feed the ego to feel better.

The passage is Jeremiah mentions adultery. You cheat on your spouse, you also commit adultery against God. In other words, you're disloyal. Unfaithful. You break vows American citizens. You're shameless.

"I will tear off your clothes, and your shame will be seen"

God is saying the pristine reputation you had across the world will turn into your walk of shame. You will be embarrassed in front of your enemies. This is part of the breaking of your pride.

Shame and embarrassment.

How embarrassing it is for your infidelity to be exposed to the world, your children, your coworkers, the neighbors and complete strangers?

Lewd pictures and text messages exposed.

Acts of sodomy exposed for the world to see.

Unlawful sexual desires mocked by many.

How embarrassing...

"You thought you was beautiful America! What happened?"

"Land of the lockdown. Home of great shame!"

People from other countries will look at America with disgust.

"Nobody is scared of you anymore!"

What a shame..

"You ask yourself, why do these things happen to me?"

Jeremiah 13:22

It is because you have so many sins. Your clothes have been torn off and your limbs are bare. It is because you forgot about God. It is because of your pride, your selfishness, your hypocrisy, your Unfaithfulness. It is because you have been seen acting like a shameless prostitute. It is because you trust in idols. One idol being your own pride.
